ApartmentsCoventry Court- Located in Columbus Square, the builder will be Coventry Court Seniors, LP, and the project will consist of 240 senior apartment homes for seniors ages 55+, of which 153 of the homes will be income-restricted to Very Low, Low and Moderate Income qualifying senior households.
Individuals interested in affordable housing opportunities in Tustin are advised that, in 2007, the City of Tustin adopted a Local Workforce Housing Preference Policy for city-assisted affordable housing projects. The Policy requires the affordable housing developer to grant current Tustin residents or individuals employed within the City of Tustin preference on the affordable housing developer's waiting list over individuals not currently residing or employed in the City of Tustin. A total of approximately 4,210 residential units are planned for the Tustin Legacy project, of which 2,105 residential units would ultimately still be permitted to be developed in the remaining portions of Tustin Legacy (excludes existing Tustin Field I, Tustin Field II, Columbus Square, and Columbus Grove) based on market conditions. It would be expected that 453 of these homes would be affiliated with the City of Tustin's Affordable Housing Program and would be accommodated over time in the remaining area currently known as the Tustin Legacy Master Development Footprint (depicted as the area of Future Development Opportunities in the map to the right).
A total of 196 apartment units, within the Master Development Footprint, shall be located in Neighborhood D pursuant to the MCAS Tustin Specific Plan; the proportion of income-restricted units shall be 53 units to Very Low Income Households, 53 units to Low Income Households, and 90 units to Moderate Income Households. The remaining 257 units shall be located in Neighborhood G as is also shown in the MCAS Tustin Specific Plan; the proportion of income-restricted units shall be 73 units to Very Low Income Households, 42 units to Low Income Households, and 142 units to Moderate Income Households. Of the 453 units within Master Development Footprint, 200 will be ownership units and 253 will be rental units.
